SSR Selfie

Today I read a book called Owl Diaries, The Author – Rebecca Elliott

First I read my book and put a 15 minute timer.

Next I wrote who the main character was : Eva, lucy, sue.

Then when the timer was up, I recounted what happened i the story.

Lastly I listed three new words with there meaning.

I enjoyed this task because I learnt new words and their meaning. I did well on recounting the story. I need to improve on writing a better recount.

Fact Families

This week we did fact families.

First we got into groups of six we lined up and and who ever is at the back of you is in your group, each person had a diffesrent times table.

Next we wrote down what tables we want to do on a google slide, For example : 4×4=16, 4×4=16, 16÷4=4, 16÷4=4.

Last we had to answer our question with counters we did the same thing for the other qestions.

I enjoyed using the counters to answer the qestions, I think Im good at using the counters,  I need to improve on my times tables.

T – Ball Skills

We revised and learned more T ball skills.

First we warmed up by playing noodle tag there were four taggers they had to try and tag us if we get tagged we have to ballence with one foot and count to ten.

Next coach cameron taught us about the home base with the ball on the top needs to be by your belly botten and bat, he also taught us about holding the bat, you have to put your left hand at the bottom and your right hand at the top, you need  your legs apart, make sure  your facing sideways.

Lastly we played t ball, we swicthed 3 or 4 times before the game ended.

I enjoyed playing against each other, I think Im good at hitting the ball, I need to improve on running faster.

T – Ball Skills

Today we learned how to use different t-ball skills.

First we warmed up by playing noodle tag, there were 3 tagers and they had to try and tag us with the noodle.

Next we practised running by playing relay race, there was holahops around us and we had hit the ball with a bat and run to the hop and try to get back to your spot.

Lastly we practised hitting the ball, catching the ball, and running.

I enjoyed warming up, I think I’m good at playing the relay race, I need to improve on catching the ball.

Fraction

This week we learned about factoins.

First we got into groups of two then in to 2 groups.

Next we made a google slide and we had to explan what a fraction is. A fraction has a numerator and a denominator. A numerator cuts the whole into equal parts, and denominator is the whole.

Lastly we explaned what group is a fraction groups of two or two group.

I enjoyed explaning what fraction is. I think I’m good at explaning what a numerator and a denominator. I need to improve on writing my fractions.

Simple Sentence

We learnt how to write simple sentences. 

First we revised time states present, past, and future  

Next we revised verb states: continuous, perfect and simple.

Then we learned what a simple sentence is. A sentence has a subject is an actor, verb is a doing word, object a reviser of an action. For example[ she spoke ] has a subject and a verb but [she spoke to him ]has a subject verb and object.

Lastly, we wrote simple sentences for  three photos. used the comments to write sentences.

I enjoyed  finding the verbs, objects and subjects . I am good at finding verb object and subject. I need to improve on writing simple sentences.

 

Reading

This week we did reading about bread. We needed to find keywords.

First we read Page one and two and then we found imformation about [Who, What, Where, Why, When, and How].

Then we had a topic vocabulry box where we had to read the 2 pages and then find the words the are in the box and highlight it and put it in the right spot in [Who, What, Where, Why, When, and How].

Lastly we did the same thing to all the pages, then we checked our work to make sure there aare no mistakes.

I enjoyed finding impormation about [Who, What, Where, Why, When, and How]. I think I’m good putting the keywords in the right spot. I need to imporve on finding the keywords.

 

Hockey

Today we revised our hockey skills.

First we revised our dribbling skills by playing a game called taniwha, we all spread out and we tried to stop taniwha from taking the ball and hitting our foot.

Next we played a game called dribble dribble push pass, we had colour cones all around us, we had to dribble two times and then push pass to our partner. When Mr Ogilive said blue, red, yellow, or green, we had to move to that colour cone and dribble dribble push pass to our partner so our partner could touch the cone.

Lastly we played a game of 4 corner hockey, we had 4 teams blue, red, yellow, and green. Push pass to our colour cone.

I enjoyed playing 4 conner hockey. I think Im good at dribbling. I need to improve on my dribble dribble push pass.

 

 

 

Giant Tic Tac Toe Game

Last week we played a game called Tic Tac Toe but in real life. 

First we got the sports equipment ready for the game. Next we got into  teams of 4. The teams were Yellow, Blue, green, and red.

Then we got bibs the same colour as our teams. Each team got three bibs and the fourth person could  make a move if we made a mistake. The goal was to connect three with our bibs. 

Afterwards we spreaded out to talk about our strategy.Then we made a connect three and we won!

Last game we had a person from each team to tell us where to put our bibs. The person had to stay at the back of the tic tac toe square to tell us where to put our bibs to win the game.

I enjoyed this game because it hleps me collaborate with my team. I think I ‘am good at running. I need to improve on putting the bib in the right place.
